Giving You The Tea on Tea

What is tea? What’s so crazy about water that has, like, no flavor?

Could you imagine having the chance to taste a plant’s biology? Just by heating water and soaking living or dried herbs?

A tea is an infusion usually using flowers, stems, or leaves of a plant to penetrate some hot water. And the result is hot as fuck. A sensually-charged cup of water with superpowers that came from the earth.

An infusion is not grinding, she is taking 15 minutes to chill the hell out. So, you should too.

Think about this though, smoking is an air infusion and drinking tea is a water infusion. So, are we magic? Or maybe, it’s alchemy…

Tea is full of nutrients and has a pleasant smell. Even the leftover bits from brewing can help heal our bodies. Bright and naturally linked, tea can help reduce life’s stress and bring calm. Questions about tea? There’s lots of info out there, some true and some not. But experts on the internet and your local library are brimming with knowledge. These can help you get a head start:

  • Moss Medicine’s founder Brianna Chetnik can walk you through the basics of herbal medicine with Now You Know. This is a course I took and loved for teaching people about the basics of herbalism.

  • The Herbal Academy blog interviews herbal community experts and talks about practical ways to incorporate herbalism into your life. They also have many courses available to purchase if you want to know more!

  • Anima Mundi’s blog shares lots of valuable tools and insights to the herbalism community. From easy recipes to fighting parasites, there’s a great deal of valuable info available on their site and on their social media.

So trust yourself, but also seek out people who have been doing this for decades! Although I’ve been doing this for over five years, I still feel like I’m just beginning my journey and I’d love for you to join.

Love,
